Benefiting Hospice Atlanta's Camp STARS

The 2nd annual Brookhaven Wealth Management Charity Golf | Tennis Classic & Fundraiser is hosted by the Cardinal Rock Charitable Foundation, with all net proceeds benefitting Camp STARS, a bereavement camp for children, adults and families.  Camp STARS is part of Visiting Nurse Health System|Hospice Atlanta's community outreach.

 

Since 1994, Camp STARS has provided an opportunity to constructively focus on the grieving process after the loss of a loved one.  Losing a loved one is challenging for anyone and can be difficult for people to grieve in a healthy way.  Camp STARS provides that opportunity to these children, adults and families and allows them to work on their grief not just together but with others who are dealing with loss themselves.

 

The camp benefits families from all socioeconomic backgrounds, from around the metro Atlanta area and other states as well.  It is offered twice per year, once at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA and once in Atlanta at St. Philip's.

We're expecting a fun filled day of golf, tennis, and yoga at one of Georgia's top private clubs with amazing facilities for each activity.  It will include putting, longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole in one contests including a $100,000 hole out challenge; a Silent & Chance Auction; a Wine & Whiskey Pull and for those not ready for 18 holes, a group golf or tennis clinic and even a yoga class.  Its about time yogis had a chance to participate in one of these events:)!  Scroll down to see the day's schedule.
