Cardinal Rock Charitable Foundation

The Cardinal Rock Charitable Foundation was founded in 2018 by Chris and Tom Cosenza to honor the life of their father Louis N. Cosenza.  Big Lou, as he was known to friends, and Mr. C, to his students, was a husband, father, son, brother, educator and mentor.  He passed away at the early age of 30 from leukemia leaving behind a wife and four young children. 

He cared deeply for his family and his students at East Rockaway High School. His interest in and compassion for others' well-being is what inspired the formation of CRCF.  He was class advisor to the ERHS Class of 1975.  One of his students, Tom Doherty speaks about him in the video below.  The photo below is the letter they wrote him in their graduating yearbook, LIFE.  It speaks to who he was.   

CRCF's mission is to raise funds through engaging fundraising events, whose proceeds will be donated to other worthy 501(c)(3) organizations or to provide education assistance through scholarships for worthy students.
