Tournament Rules

CHECK-IN POLICY
In order for the check-in process to run quickly and smoothly, any players included in your registration transaction must be present prior to check in. Please plan your team's arrival accordingly. You may not have somebody else check in for you. 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Event will be a FOUR PERSON SCRAMBLE with a SHOTGUN START @ 7:30 AM.

• Each player will tee off from their designated tee box. The best tee shot will be selected and each
  player will hit their second shot from that spot (within one club length and no closer to the hole).
  You will continue this procedure until the ball is holed out or bogey is reached.
• THERE IS A BOGEY MAX (one stroke over par).
• As per the request of Sewailo, teams will be limited to 4 mulligans per team. 
• If there is a three-some, players must set a rotation and alternate the fourth shot.
• Please use the OFFICIAL SCORECARDS that are provided on your golf carts.
• Men will play from the JADE tees & Women will play from the COPPER tees.

COURSE RULES

• Please respect our pace of play, and keep the group ahead in sight (you may be asked to skip a hole and take a bogey if your group falls behind pace).
• Please obey all course signage and keep carts out of the native desert area.
• USGA rules govern all play and scoring, except where modified by local rules (see course scorecard).
• Please fix all ball marks and fill your divots with the sand and seed bottle provided in your golf cart.

Dress Code: In staying with the true spirit of the game, proper attire is required of all persons on property at Sewailo Golf Club. This includes collared shirts and no denim attire. Sewailo Golf Club strictly enforces these policies. Any participant that does not comply with the dress code policy will be asked to purchase proper attire from the Sewailo golf shop or will not be allowed to participate in the day's event. Sewailo Golf Club is a non-metal spike facility.

Inclement Weather: Unpredictable weather, including lightning storms, can occur in Southern Arizona, especially during the summer monsoon season. If the golf course is deemed unplayable by course management after the start of the event the following refund policy will apply: Rainchecks will be issued to each player following the standard Sewailo Raincheck Policy or any funds collected prior to the event date willbe used for a make up date determined by the organizer and the Golf Sales Manager.

Outside Alcohol Policy: Please be aware there is to be No Outside Food or Alcohol on premises during the event. Outside alcohol is against the law. Any outside alcohol will be confiscated by Sewailo F & B team and will not be returned at the end of the tournament. Violations of this agreement will result in players being asked to leave property or the suspension of alcohol sales for the remainder of the event.

Desert Crown's Player Etiquette Policy: All participants and players are expected to maintain and display courteous and respectful behaviors towards volunteers, golf course staff, and other players on the course. Offensive gestures, vulgarity, abusive language, or any other extreme behaviors displayed by participants will result in removal from play for the individual, dismissal from the tournament, and forfeit of prizes.
