Texas Scramble - Rules of Play

All team members tee off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like the best. Each player's tee shot must be used at least FOUR times during the 18-hole competition

The other team members pick up their balls and place them within one club length of the best shot. Each team member hits their next shot from the chosen spot of the prior shot.

If the ball you choose to play is in a hazard or out of bounds, you play a lateral drop with 2 club lengths away from where the ball entered the hazard.

This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score.

 

Men will play from the BLUE tees

Ladies will play from the RED tees

 

*Please note we will be playing a special local rule. If a player hits the ball into the trees, a player can either play the ball as it lies with no penalty or drop a ball at the point of entry into the trees incurring a 1 shot penalty.
